Beginning phase

Date and Time	Activities
23/10/2015 10am – 12pm	In the first meeting at Dewan Kuliah 1, I have been assigned into group 10 which have 10 members with the course of Bachelor in Business Administration. We talk and know each other to divide our job tasks after we had the first briefing session with our supervisor, Dr. Edward. Supervisor told us some important details of Social Engagement and our secretary, Min Yee records down the meeting minute.
5/11/2015 6pm – 8pm	Group leader, Yu Chong and Min Yee gather us at Dataran Zaaba to discuss about which Social Engagement activities we would like to do. We brainstorm all the possible activities and finally we choose to visit old folks’ care centre.
19/11/2015 6pm – 8pm	We gather to discuss about the Social Engagement Proposal which included our contribution fees, expected total expenses of the entire program and the details of visiting the care centre.
23/11/2015 5pm – 7pm	We meet with our supervisor to finalize our proposal. After the discussion, supervisor agrees with our plan, however, he suggests us to raise fund before we visit to old folks’ care centre.
26/11/2015 5pm – 7pm	Our group have come out a finalize proposal, and we submit our edited proposal to the supervisor again. After the checking procedure, supervisor accepts our proposal.
4/12/2015 11.30am – 1pm	We have our third meeting at Dataran Zaaba and we discuss about the targeted venue to conduct our activities. Lastly, we decide to go to the Care 1 Centre which is nearby 9th Residential College, University of Malaya. Also, we have discussed the details of fund raising activity. One of our member suggests to do car wash activity which consists only low cost. All the group members agree with his idea.
14/12/2015 12pm – 2pm	Yu Chong and Min Yee contact the person in charge of the Care 1 Centre and get the permission to visit there. Also, they discuss the details of the whole activities which will be conducted during the visit, including the date and time of the visit.
15/12/2015 5pm – 6pm	We confirm our venue with supervisor and present the whole Social Engagement plan to him. After we get his opinion, we have finalize the Social Engagement activity.
23/2/2016 4pm – 6pm	Our group gather to discuss the preparation of fund raising activity. We decide to do the fund raising one day before visiting Care 1 Centre after arranging all members’ schedule. In this session, we also prepare a list of tools needed in fund raising activity. A target amount to achieve is set for preparing the items such as rice, fans and other which is needed by the care centre.
25/2/2016 4pm – 6pm	We confirm the plan of fund raising and the visiting. Then, group leader have a short briefing with us about the gathering time, place, tools and materials for the next day fund raising activity.

Current phase (26 February 2016)

Time	Activity
7.30am – 8am	All of our group members bring all the tools and material to Faculty Business and Accountancy. We gather at graduate school car park to listen a short briefing from supervisor. After that, we assign different task to each member. I am being in charge of washing cars.
8am – 9am	We divide in two groups. One group of us wash the cars at graduate school car park and another group go to Zaaba car park which is near to Muzium Seni Asia. Approximately 5 cars we washed at that time.
9am – 11pm	After we notice there was less response at Zaaba car park, one group moves from there and go to faculty staffs car park. We received more responses (12 cars) after we did this decision.
11pm – 1pm	Some of us continue car washing activity and other member go around faculty to attract more people to wash car. They try to explain our activity to staffs and students to collect fund.
1pm – 2.30pm	We decided to have a rest after we washed 21 cars. Malay students went to Friday prayer, whereas, other students have their lunch break at that time.
2.30pm – 5pm	The cars in faculty are getting less after afternoon time. We decided to go Faculty Economics to approach some new customers. Luckily, response at there is good and we managed to wash 40 cars after this.
5pm – 5.30pm	Group leader and secretary gather us to collect car number, also, they count the fund we collected for the car washing activity.

(27 February 2016)

Time	Activity
7.30am – 8am	All group members gather at the gate near to Faculty of Language and Lingustic and we walk to Care 1 Centre. Along the journey, we discuss about some planned cleaning activity and also some performance to interact with the old folks.
8am – 8.30am	Once we arrived, supervisor introduce the person in charge and some workers in Care 1 Centre to us. Before we start, we took a group photo in front of the care centre. After that, we separate into two groups.
8.30am – 10am	One group of us take responsibility of cleaning the courtyard, while another group have to clean the care centre. I was assigned to clean the care centre. 3 of my friends swept the living room, ground floor room and first floor room. While, I mob the living room and 1st floor room and Prasana mob the ground floor room.
10am – 12pm	After cleaning the care centre, we approach the old folks and try to talk with them. There are around 11 old folks in the care centre and I try to talk to every patients. However, some of them unable to talk because they cannot project their voice as they are quite weak. We try our best to fulfill their need and make them happy.
12pm – 1pm	We help to serve the lunch for old folks and learn to carry them to dining table. This is my first experience to feed old folks, it is a great interaction as we are having lunch with them together.
1pm – 3pm	After lunch, some of us help to clean the dining table and wash the tableware. Other members help to carry old folks to sit on the sofa at the living room. We watch television and share laughter together with the old folks.
3pm – 5pm	We bring old folks to their bed or room when it is close to their nap time. After settled down all the old folks, we go to courtyard to help the workers to water plants, sweep floor, wipe the windows, and wash cars.
5pm – 5.30pm	When the first day is almost come to the end, supervisor represent us to give some daily use items such as rice, oil, diapers and fans to the person in charge of Care 1 Centre. We took a group photo before we back to University of Malaya.

(28 February 2016)

Time	Activity
7.30am – 8am	Same as the first day, we gather at the Faculty Language and Linguistic gate and walk to Care 1 Centre.
8am – 9am	When we arrived, we separate into two groups. One group of us clean the floor and change bedsheets while the other group help to feed medicine, apply body lotion or medicine and check blood pressure of the old folks. I was assigned to second group so I was able to experience as a medical care person.
9am – 10am	After we finished the tasks, we have a chatting session with the old folks. Most of them are stronger than yesterday because they are able to talk to us very well. Also, we prepare a singing session with the old folks. We are surprised that some of them sing along with us with clapping hands. They seems like enjoy to our performance.
10am – 12pm	The person in charge assign us a new task which is painting the walls. We separate into two groups. One group take in charge in kitchen and another group help to paint the entrance hall. We take turn to scrape away the old wall before start to paint.
12pm – 1pm	When it is close to lunch time, we pause our task temporarily to prepare the lunch for old folks. Some of us serve the meal and some of us carry the old folks to the dining table. We help to feed them and talk to them during the lunch.
1pm – 3pm	After lunch time, we continue the painting task. Our group members take turn to paint the walls. Members who are free try to talk with the old folks or watch television together with them. Some old folks share their pity stories with us that make us felt sympathy to them.
3pm – 5pm	As our painting task have not finished yet, some of the members continue to paint while other members start to prepare high-tea such as cakes, egg tarts and desserts for old folks. After everything is done, we have an enjoyable high-tea with the old folks and workers.
5pm – 5.30pm	Before we leave Care 1 Centre, we took photos with all the old folks and workers. They are happy in the photos. We felt satisfied as some of the old folks remind us to visit them back the next time.

1/3/2016 2pm – 3pm	Secretary Min Yee collect the photos during the fund raising and the visiting from us.
4/3/2016 3pm – 4.30pm	Supervisor have a briefing with us about the final report. After the briefing, we have a clearer image on how to do the report.
10/3/2016 4pm – 6pm	Group leader and secretary went to supervisor’s office to follow up the final report with him.
16/3/2016 5pm – 7pm	Our group gathered to discuss about the final report. We assigned to different part of the report.
24/3/2016 4pm – 6pm	We submit the final report version 1 to supervisor. However, there are some mistakes need to correct. Supervisor suggests us submit to him again after correction.
1/4/2016 4pm – 6pm	We gathered again to discuss about the correction of final report. We check and amend the report together at Dataran Zaaba.
5/4/2016 6pm – 7pm	Secretary informed us we need to do a blog post regarding the beginning phase, current phase and ending phase of the whole Social Engagement activities. Supervisor guide us for the amendment to the final report.
21/4/2016 5pm – 6.30pm	We combine our photos, journals and report to compile it in a finalize report. Group leader and secretary collate them into presentation slide.
5/5/2016 4pm – 6pm	We showed the report, journals, video and blog to our supervisor. After that, we come out a finalize report.
18/5/2016 5pm – 6.30pm	Supervisor gathers all the group member to give a short briefing about Social Engagement presentation.
